Echo One, Northolt Road
Echo One, Northolt Road – A 116 apartment flagship scheme located in Harrow on a re-development site in South Harrow.
This Origin Housing development has an attractive design where the buildings are designed around a landscaped courtyard for all residents to enjoy. Each home has its own private space in the form of a recessed balcony or terrace.
At early stages, we worked with the main contractors, Hill partnership, to develop a concept balustrade design for the balconies and terraces. We worked closely with the Hill technical team and Moss Architecture to develop details that effectively coordinated with the surrounding trades. We were then appointed by the main contractor for the supply and installation of the balcony and terrace balustrades. Our full scope of works included:
- B30 frame and glass infill panel fitted to the Balconies and Terraces with 11.5mm toughened and laminated glass with an opaque interlayer. Handrails were powder-coated to a RAL 7016 anthracite grey.
- Privacy screens with opaque interlayer
- Full height acoustic screens with opaque interlayer

Creating a consistent balustrade finish
To ensure a consistent finish, we utilized standard post details and only customized the base fixing plate, enabling us to create a consistent balustrade finish in all locations.

Full Height Screens
In some areas a full height acoustic screen was required, we overcame this by using bespoke fixing brackets to offset mount the glass from our balustrade frame.
