Chiswick Health & Residential Centre
NHS Chiswick, a sparkling new care facility built in London, Hounslow.
Improving healthcare services for over 60,000 patients and provide essential worker housing. This redevelopment has 55 affordable apartments designated for the key NHS workers at Chiswick. Further to this, the building also offers much-needed outdoor spaces for patients, residents, and staff.
Located in the heart of London, Fishers Lane, this NHS Centre was re-built replacing an existing facility to provide modern development to improve healthcare services for residents, with a range of services from GP, Community and mental health. Built with stainability in mind, this building meets high environmental standards with features such as solar panels and LED lighting, the result of these efforts is a 77% carbon emissions reduction.
BA Systems has enjoyed a successful partnership with Willmott Dixon for more than 15 years, delivering a range of bespoke balustrade solutions across numerous projects.
For the Chiswick Health & Residential Centre, we were engaged at an early design stage to develop a system proposal that fully met the project’s architectural intent and technical requirements. Working collaboratively with the design and commercial teams, we refined the details through a series of design workshops and coordination meetings.
A design and commercial agreement was subsequently finalised, and BA Systems was proud to deliver the full balustrade package — combining functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal to complement this important healthcare and residential development.

Boss Base Fixing
B40 Frameless Glass Balustrade system was applied to the Health Care Staircase. The seamless boss base fixing detail simplifies the stair fixings where the stair stringer is to be exposed and visible.

Balustrades to Walkways
B50 Vertical Flat Bar Balustrading was applied to the walkways with a surface mounted four point fixed base plate. The aluminium vertical flat bars enhance privacy without blocking out the required light.
