The Sprowston Community Academy is a Secondary and Sixth Form Academy that currently has 1,500 students. The New School Building is set to get an additional 250 pupil spaces. The two-storey building includes 14 classrooms and a library and is situated on Cannerby Lane, Sprowston, Norwich.

Just a few minutes from our Head Office, we contacted Pentaco Construction in view of assisting them during the early stages of the project. Further to engaging with them to provide cost and design support, we began by offering a full proposal for the Balustrade works on the project that would allow for the complete design, supply and installation. Handrails were required to both the East and West Stairs and in some areas required a double-height handrail. With an understanding of the programme requirements, we were then able to engage with the team to outline our final proposal with which we were successfully appointed to carry out the works.

Our full scope included:

• B10 Stainless Steel Wall Handrails to Stairs with Wall Bracket and Cover Rose
• Our proposal also allowed for a Double Handrail on flights 1 & 2
