East Anglian Air Ambulance

The East Anglian Air Ambulance exists to save lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air or road to seriously ill or injured people in the region. The EAAA is a life-saving charity that relies on the support of donors. Since their launch in 2000, they have attended over 30,000 lifesaving missions, touching the lives of many thousands of people.

BA Systems have been pleased to support a local project in supplying the full Balustrade Package for their new Headquarters in Norwich. The new facility will enable the EAAA Service to achieve its aspiration to provide a 24-hour service, helping more than 400 additional patients every year and could result in crews attending an estimated 600 more missions per year.

In the early stages of the project, we were contacted by PJ Spillings to assist with providing a proposal for the Balustrading element of works. Following this we began engaging with the team to look at the most cost-effective solution that would meet the design intent.

Finally, we were able to provide a solution that detailed:

• B20 Stainless Steel and Glass Infill Balustrades to Stairs and Voids
• B10 Wall Handrails to Stairs
• Galvanised Steel Kee Klamp Type Balustrade
